My Tuesday Part 2

SO! Continuing on after I wake up from that crazy dream...

I do this thing every morning when I take a shower. I guess you could say it is my superstition. When I turn on the water, it comes out cold, so I immediately jump out before it hits me and I let it heat up. However, if it hits me, I know that day will be a bad day and, of course, the cold water hit me for the first time in MONTHS!!!! Immediately I though "Uh oh! Today is gonna suck!" which is not the best start to a day with multiple huge assignments.

Evidently, when I finished showering, I went down to eat breakfast and we were out of cinnamon cereal (aka my favorite cereal to eat in the morning)!!! I had to settle with Honey Nut Cheerios, but I was not ready for the transition! When I went to pour my milk, IT EMPTIED BEFORE I FINISHED!!!!! That is literally one of my biggest pet peeves out there! So I had to eat my cereal half crunchy, half soggy!

That day, my friend, Emma, was picking me up and whenever she picks me up for school, I have a set alarm time just for those days. Yesterday was the first time I was late! I fell behind schedule and when I rushed out to meet her, I RUN INTO A FULL SPIDERWEB WITH THE SPIDER IN IT!!!! Fun fact about me: I'm terrified of spiders! I had to smack my leg 3 times before it fell off and I was picking spiderweb remnants out of my leg hair for the next 10 minutes!

After that whole morning incident, my day did start to pick up though. I think I did pretty well on my math test and I got an 80 on my English quiz which was pretty good! The best part about yesterday though, was when I got to Media Studies class, I was informed that the A&I chart and essay were due on the 14th of May!!!! I was so ecstatic, but as a final slap in the face, I realized that my favorite Croc pin, Peppa Pig, had fallen off!

So that was my Tuesday kerfuffle! Hope you all enjoyed my misery!

My Tuesday, Part 1

So yesterday was a pretty stressful day, and that same stress carried over to today! As you all know, today I had a math test, an English quiz, and an A&I chart and essay all today! You can see the stress I was having. But I want to start at the beginning and analyze a dream I had last night.

To start off, I just want to mention that my least favorite musical ever is Rent, which is what my school did this year. Don't get me wrong, there are some good songs in the album, but the plot of the show is SO BAD!!! Even though it's my least favorite show, I had to see it 5 times total this year (4 times I was in it and the 5th time my boyfriend and one of my best friends were in it)!!! Anyways, the first thing I remember about the dream was that my musical theatre teacher told us we had to see ANOTHER showing of Rent and it counted as 95% of our final grade! So all the juniors and sophomores in my theatre friend group all went, but we all collectively got high together to make it more entertaining!

KEEP IN MIND THIS WAS A DREAM AND WE DID NOT ACTUALLY GET HIGH!!!!!!!

Anyways, so we all got high together and I decided to go to the bathroom with some of my friends. So like 4 guys (including me) in the group all went to the bathroom. I stepped up to the urinal and did my thing. But the thing was, when I zipped up my pants, I wasn't actually done going to the bathroom. Now, because I was high, I thought this was hilarious and so did my friends. So, we go back to the theater and then our group gets called up on stage and we all sit around a table and start to spin clay at individual potter's wheels!!!

The dream then shifts to after the show and I'm standing at our school's bus loop after a bus took us back from the show. I'm just standing there and my history teacher tells us all to put on a jacket because if not, we would get sick. So everyone puts on a jacket, but I didn't have one! BTW I'm still high from the show earlier. My friend Maya then says she has an extra one and gives it to me.

This is where I'm gonna low-key analyze. Maya hands me a UCF (University of Central Florida) hoodie, which is a college I may want to go to for a musical theatre degree. I put on the jacket and it was SO SOFT!!! I felt so comforted in the jacket and it was so warming and inviting that after I woke up, I thought that it was a sign that I should go to UCF! I previously went there on a college tour and I loved the campus. I also heard they have a pretty good theatre program AND it is really close to Disney/Universal Studios, so I could possibly have a part time job acting there, or maybe even interpreting American Sign Language for the shows!!!

Anyways, after I put on the hoodie, I call my parents to ask if they could pick me up from school and they were like "Yes we can." But then, they got real dark and intimidating and said "But we need to talk. It's important." I started panicking and asking myself what that could be. Did they know I was high? Oh my God, they know I got high! And then I woke up! The dream seemed so real that I had to tell myself over and over that I have never smoked so that could never happen!

So, yea that was my crazy dream form last night! I don't want to bore you with the rest of my day tonight, so stayed tuned for a part 2 of my day!!!

Stressful Times!

Hey everyone!

Wow! These past few weeks have been so stressful because we are getting close to the end of the school year. That means I have to start working hard to study for finals. On top of that, I'm currently in crunch-time for Inside Out Theatre's performance of In the Heights, on Sunday, May 13th! The show has been coming along SO well, and that makes me really happy because I was so excited to do this show and my dream came true! We have been rehearsing every Sunday since January from 1:30 PM-8 PM! For those who can't count, that's 7 and a half hours! Sometimes it gets frustrating, but 98% of the time, I'm so happy to commit that much time to it! I get to see my friends and perform in one of my favorite shows! If you're interested in seeing the show, click here!

Aside from 7 and a half hour rehearsals, I've been LOADED with homework and tests/quizzes! As of this blog, I have a math test, and English quiz, and an essay all in one day: TOMORROW!!!! Let me break down my situation in each class.

Math- TO start, I am NOT a mathematician in the slightest! The math class I'm in right now is Analysis of Functions/Trigonometry, aka the hardest math class I've ever taken! This year, my average math grade is a 77%. To most people that may seem like an average grade, but to me, that is NOT. a good grade to have. I've always done very well in school. I get B's and A's regularly and it's very uncommon for me to get lower than a B, but this year in math has been a struggle and a half! SO yea, I have a math test tomorrow on logarithmic functions. I'm not too worried though, because logs and trigonometry (sine, cosine, and tangent) have always come easily for me. My highest math grade this year was an 85%, and that's because of trigonometric functions!

English- I actually really like my English class this year because we are reading books that are actually interesting! Even though a lot of people in my class are morons who don't do their own work (which irks me SO MUCH), I do my own work and my teacher LOVES me for it! Whenever she comes around to check our homework, she just glances at mine and gives me a 100%! I do my homework every time because the books she picks out are nothing like what teachers usually make you read! We read a book at the beginning of the year called The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, and I loved it so much, I forced my mom to read it! Currently, we are reading a book called The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. This book is a Vietnam War memoir and it has a whole lot of interesting stories in them! I just finished a really long chapter (around 30 pages) so now I have to complete some questions on it. We are having a quiz on the chapter tomorrow, but I feel like I'll do well on it!

Media Studies- We are currently filling out what is called an Audience and Institutions (A&I) chart to prepare us for our Cambridge final exam on the 23rd. These are so stressful, because I always want to complete them more thoroughly than I should. Tomorrow, we are using the information we gathered (this time on printed media) and writing a practice A&I essay. These are always so stressful because I always worry about what happens if I get writer's block and can't think of anything. But, they usually turn out fine, so I'm hoping nothing is different this time!

That's all the stress I have today! Check back tomorrow to hear me vent about History and my upcoming Sign Language Club event: Silent Ice Cream Parlor!!!😬👍🏻

My Tuesday Part 2

SO! Continuing on after I wake up from that crazy dream... I do this thing every morning when I take a shower. I guess you could say it is...
